Responsibilities

The Human Resources Department is responsible for employee recruitment and selection, job classification and compensation, benefits administration, and workforce training and development.  The Human Resources Department is also responsible for the City’s Risk Management programs and activities, including workers’ compensation, liability and subrogation, safety programs, and insurance.

The goal of the Human Resources Department is to attract, motivate, and retain the best qualified employees whose diversity and skills contribute to and sustain the City as a quality organization.
